Based on strong Christian principles, Heritage Academy is a co-educational, independent school catering to learners from grade R – 12. The values and ethos of Heritage Academy make it the perfect place to cultivate and nurture young minds and spirits.
Heritage Academy was founded in 1990 and is affiliated to the ACSI. It has produced many successful graduates over the years and has consistently achieved an above 96% pass rate in the NCS exams. The class sizes are small ensuring individualized attention and a special connection between every learner and educator.
The Christian morals of the school are the foundations upon which everything we do as a school is built. Heritage Academy conducts both national and international missions and tours. Learners are afforded the opportunity to play an active role in this field. Learners take part in Annual Speech and Drama contests as well Spelling Bees which have proven to be very successful. Various sporting disciplines are offered and our learners enjoy competing against other schools in the area.
With quality teaching, a loving environment and new innovations in education; why not make your child a part of the Heritage Academy family?
School is fun
In South Africa we experience a large gap between those who are well off and those who struggle to support themselves and their families. In the past twenty years we have seen far too few people being able to bridge this gap. Without the knowledge necessary for advancement far too many people are trapped in a cycle of inadequacies and poverty.
At Heritage Academy we believe that a quality education is absolutely vital to being able to lead a fully productive and fulfilling life. Ignorance is not bliss. It is because of this that we strive to give our learners the very best opportunities possible to learn and grow into successful individuals . A quality education is achieved not only in the classroom, but in every sphere of school life, be it in cultural events, on the sports field, in relationships with educators and peers and in a personal relationship with your creator.
We aim for every one of the children in our school to be presented with every opportunity to know God personally and so we integrate the Bible into our lesson plans, we worship in our assemblies, we testify to the very real working of God in the running of our school and we strive to set an example of the Christian life in the way we go about our daily lives.
We want our children to know God, and to understand the potential that God has placed in them and to fulfill every aspect of the destiny that he has for them.
Please support us through your prayers.
We are well and truly underway with our first term. The learners are hard at work and it is a pleasure to see the learning taking place. I am sure we are in for an exceptional year.
In the last post I mentioned our Matric results and congratulated the Matric class of 2014, but I forgot to mention the very pleasing results that our Grade 6 Learners achieved in their Annual National Assessment results.
Both in English and Mathematics our results were much better than the national average. Well done Grade 6! Now that you have set the standard we have a good target to try and better this year.
Heritage Academy started off our new year with smiles and excitement as we welcomed back our family of learners, and welcomed some nervous looking youngsters to our school.
We were able to celebrate a 97% pass rate for 2014 and to dedicate ourselves to making sure that we surpass this figure in 2015.
We were encouraged by a word from the Principal, Taken from Luke chapter 5 where Jesus says that if we follow him, He will make us…..
The learners were challenged to follow the Path set before them by the Educators and by God and to allow themselves to be MADE into the best versions of themselves that God intends to use for His Kingdom.
And so we look forward to making this our best year ever!
All smiles for the first day of 2015
The management and the staff at Heritage Academy wish Parents, Students and Friends a happy blessed Easter.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Happy Easter Holidays
Learners and Educators display their creative side.
